In late 1763, Moravian authorities presented a rifle made at Christian's Spring (presumably by Andreas Albrecht) to John Jennings, sheriff of Northampton County. They were grateful "for the great Care & Trouble he had on bringing" the Moravian Indians to Philadelphia. (This was part of the Paxton crisis of 1763-1764.) The rifle was valued at £6.0.0.

Jennings seemed to like guns (and didn't return ones that he borrowed). Yesterday I found this 1773 letter among a pile of unrelated Northampton County administrative accounts.
