Robert Rogers inspired shot pouch
« on: January 13, 2022, 02:49:59 AM »
New shot pouch complete! While we tend to call them hunting pouches, i see many colonial references to shot pouches. This one is generally inspired by the colorized print of Robert Rogers attached. Sort of a mix of colonial and indigenous styles. As usual, its all hand sewn with waxed linen, hand cut fringe in 3-4oz veg tan leather. Inner pocket is 3.5x4.5" overal dimensions (minus fringe) is 8" by 7.5", construction is welted like a knife sheath for a little more structure and space. Strap is 1" wide and button adjustable. I picture this slung alongside a nice canoe gun, fowler or fusil de chase with a simple aged horn.

Very nice. I have always liked the pouch Rogers is pictured with. Good interpretation!
