Southern mountain shot bag
« on: October 06, 2009, 04:48:28 AM »
I need some idea's from you fellows that know about southern bags. I'm getting ready to make a southern flint rifle(tennessee). I need to some idea's for a shot bag to go with it. Something simple no liner but I do want a flap on it. Something that would go with a medium grade rifle. Thanks for everyones help.

Brian, have you checked the contemporary site for info/builders hunting bags?
http://www.longrifle.ws/forsale/default.asp?age=Contemporary&orderby=&categoryID=2&curpage=2
Several forum members have bags for sale there and might get you some ideas anyway.

Brian,
This is my idea of a rifleman's bag for a Southern / Tennessee style rifle.
It is constructed of American Bison with my rendition of aging.  Maybe this idea will help.
