Here is a plain southern gun, “in the white” I made with an original barrel with a lollipop tang. .41 caliber freshed out. I made the trigger guard and triggers. The wood was free and I had less than $200 in the barrel and lock. Made a great rifle, but the original sights are hard to see.
As in life; it’s the journey, not the destination. How you get there matters most.
