A new Powder Horn (#11)
« on: January 26, 2022, 05:26:31 AM »
I finished making this Powder Horn today which I really like. It's a lip style horn which I favor.
I have etched a map of the northern fork of the Virginia side of the Great Bay of Chesapeake on one panel (copied from an old map). The obverse has the little hunter guy (I nickname him "Jakob" from my first etched horn) and there is also my own inscription "Be Kean of Eye And Powder Dry".
It seems to have some of that "old charm" feel to it.

Good looking map horn. I like that style of horn.
