Get two of everything, Mike - we'll both build one.

Betcha you are faster than me!

The Polish gentleman reached back to me. He appears knowledgeable but has anyone actually dealt with him directly? I need to be sure it is safe to send payment to him. Builders in the US are bad enough with quoted lead times etc., just worried about an overseas transaction like this. He quoted me $950 Euros for the build, about $1050 USD.

No thanks, that outfit has nothing to offer. They have pure evil intent.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

Caveat emptor

That price without shipping seems rational for a barebones gun but it's still a big chunk to toss at Poland in hopes he doesn't just blow it on zlotystok and pierogi.

Oh I see, apology’s to Mike.

Mike, hope I did not raise your ire. You are one of my favorite builders on this website. God bless.

I was all ire-ed out years ago. :P
MATCHLOCKS are cool. I wish I had the time to get one together. You folks that want one ought to get the parts and slap one together. I handled an original at the last RIACO auction and they don't seem too difficult.

That’s good thinking. If I wasn’t PCS’ing soon I’d consider it. Hard to get a setup going bouncing around apartments and the Middle East all the time! I could probably get a Kibler’s together. Wonder if Jim has one on the table?  ;)
