Me too thanks to Wayne! Not as fancy but a nice solid piece of sugar maple with a bit of figure.  And the price was very reasonable.

My experience is that all it takes to get a really nice stock blank is money. Usually quite a lot of it.

Hey  that IS a lovely hunka wood.   I have a .36 cal Green Mountain barrel w/ a nice small Flintlock action, that I'd like to get a nice piece of maple to fit it!   Think it would be a nice squirrel rifle!!
