Book on English gun trades of the 18th century

Friends I posted about a book I discovered that has an in-depth description of the English gun trades in the 18th & 19th centuries. I think this may interest some of you. It discusses many topics including who made barrels, who made locks, stock woods, quality of components, etc. etc.

My wife gifted me that book for Christmas. After reading about the author, I put it at the back of the bookshelf.

I was skeptical due to probable bias of the author, but I am looking at the factual information it contains, not any conclusions of the author.

As a full professor I rarely pay attention to an author's opinions. We professors have a saying "In God we trust, all others bring data."
