Always enjoy posts of others work. There have been several lately on horns and stating the number of bands in the subject line. Thought I’d pull a couple out and show. The aged horn has four bands, two piece antler tip, mulberry base plug and a Bill Wright quilled strap. A large horn at 16” around the curve.
The second horn had five bands (why? Because I could), two piece antler tip and a Eastern Red Cedar base plug (again, because I can, plus it grows everywhere here). It is a slim horn but is 17” around the curve.
Neither horn is modeled after any historic example. Just a test and training experience to see what I could do. For those that are making horns, keep posting and showing them here. We all learn from the examples shown.
