What is a source for bristles for a pan brush? Oh, wait, wait. This original might be a shaving brush.

tightly wound horse hair, boar bristles or, as I learned something new last week, bristles from a masonry brush.

Seen a few made from turkey beards... Thought they were pretty neat.

Mike-we're a bit light on turkeys up here so went with Gary's suggestion which was great. The brush was $7.50 at Lowe's and still have enough for 53 more pan brushes. ;)

Sorry Dennis. I was about half asleep when I posted that the other night... I didn't realize you were seriously asking for recommendations for bristle materials.

Mr. Elsenbeck mentioned horse hair... That's what I used. Much easier to acquire than turkey beards. But still not as convenient as a trip to Lowe's.
