A couple Horns
« on: March 01, 2022, 06:30:37 PM »
These are a couple of horns I made about 15 years ago. Actually horn number 1 was sold in the shop before I completed it. The new owner made the rear strap attachment and put finish on the base plug. Horn number 2 was to be a left hand carry and he wanted it right hand carry tip up which was not my choice. When I began making horns, I wanted to make something somewhat different than what you normally see. Kind of like my own style. Like it or not this is what I have did. I just got pictures of these this past weekend, I didn't get pics when they left the shop many years ago. I have some more horns that I will be posting pics in the future.

Nice work, especially number 2.  So now what is your name??  XX54 means nothing to those that don't know you.

Very interesting, and very nice! I like your style. Don't have to be H/C to be cool.

If you are wondering who I am, my name is: R. Mitchell and I'm from the great state of West Virginia. I don't post too much but I look at this site about 3-4 times a day. I really enjoy reading all the posts and seeing how everyone goes about the things they do.

Really nice original work. Is that copper wire inlay in that last pic on the base plug?

aaronc It is brass.I have done several with sterling silver wire .I always hollow out the base plug this makes for less weight and room for more powder. I seal the inside with acraglass.
