March Rifle Building Class
« on: March 05, 2022, 02:34:36 AM »
We just finished up the March Rifle Building Class at Calvary Longrifles. The class started out with 6 students but 4 of the students had to reschedule. So it turned out to be just two students but it was still a great class. My students for this class was John Strong and world famous Southern Horn builder Mr. Billy Griner. Each had a Jim Kibler kit, John had one of Jim's Colonial kits and Billy had a Southern Mountain Rifle kit. John had his kit assembled when he got to class, he wanted to do a little carving on his project and finish the gun in class. Billy built his rifle in class and we installed a patch box on it and finished it in class.

Both of these students were very pleased with their kits and the results of their final products. It was a great class and a pleasure having John and Billy in my shop.

It's always a great time down at Jim's class. It was a fun week with Jim and Billy.

It was great having John & Billy in class. Dana, Billy was so quiet while he was in the class, me and John hardly knew he was there.  ::)I can tell you he makes a pretty mean biscuit.  :)
