Between half stock and full stock

What do you call a gun that has a longer fore stock than half, but not all the way to full?

Use the ALR Search function and search on "3/4 stock",  Include the quotation marks.

This one might fit as well due to the length of the forend.

Thanks Ron. Don’t know why my search doesn’t work.

Be sure you are using the one on the same line as "Home" , "Help" Etc not the one just above News in yop right of screen.

Dennis, never noticed the "Help" on that top left line - thanks!

I enjoy the half-stocks, and have put that rib on with screws, solder, and rivets.  The screws are easiest, rivets the most fun. Hate to even think of soldering!  And I have yet to pour a pewter muzzle cap, though I do have 10 lb of pewter available.

Frozen, you need to tin both the barrel and the rib, then use about 50 clamps to hold the rib in place while you heat it for the final time.

It is hot, and can be quite messy, with the flux melting and running.  The rib can bend from the heat if you use too much of it (heat).

The other two methods are much neater and cleaner.  As I said, the riveting is the most fun, making the little rivets, drilling the holes properly, seating the rivet in the hole, then heading it in/on the rib.  12-penny common nails make good rivets.

Thank you, I thought it was for pc reasons. I'm not sure when solder was first used for a rib? I soldered a rib on one of my current builds but would like to try riveting the next one so I appreciate the nail tip.
