Need ideas.
« on: March 13, 2022, 04:41:58 AM »
So I have some parts left from the first muzzleloader I ever bought when I was 14 at a pawn shop with money I saved.. Not sure what style rifle they would be appropriate for. May not be appropriate for anything 😆. Thought if I ever get this Fowler finished that I may try and make a rifle for my son. They are not expensive parts by any stretch but have some sentimental value. Any ideas on why I could make with them would be appreciated. May not use all of them but would like to use some of them.

Don’t know what you might have in mind , but if your son is a young guy, you might consider a nice light 1/2 stock. Would be a good start for a teenager, or a beginning shooter.

A full stock ohio squirrel rifle might be cool. I could use the lock butt plate and maybe modify the trigger guard and not use the patch box. Maybe a fun little .36 or .40 cal.
