Two 18th century Germainc Horns NEW PHOTOS
« on: April 03, 2022, 04:25:49 PM »
I just acquired these two from Herman Historica. The smaller horn has a vent pick incorporated in the spout plug. Nice additions to my Jaeger Hunting collection. If finding a bag from the same period was as easy!

very nice. Two questions; on the larger horn, what is the metallic "pin" for? And are the carved tips part of the original horn or added 0n. The larger horn is very nice indeed.

The tip carving is fabulous. I can't make put what the tip on the large one is. Thanks for the Pix.

Thank you for posting these Ron, you continue to inspire me to improve my knowledge and meager skills. If I could build at your level...well my reach exceeds my grasp, but you are an inspiration. Thank you!

Ron-those are really nice horns. The carving on the big one and the profile of the spout plug on the small one really set them off.

Ron, Thanks for the second set of Pix. What is the length of the largest one?
