Engraved Laubach Lock
« on: April 06, 2022, 11:59:17 PM »
I have been building a Jaeger Rifle for myself. After more hours than I care to count, I am close to done. I have done some decorative filing on the frizzen spring and plan to eventually engrave the frizzen. I added a larger top jaw screw to give the lock a n=more Vienna look.

That is so nice!! The domed screw / bolt heads are not at all easy to engrave.

Making that gun for yourself? You really shouldn't be showing this in public. Very nice!

Simply stunning.  I can't wait to set the finished gun.  Not Soddy appropriate.

Ron - Special indeed. That stippling really sets off the engraving.

Ron,

I was just ready to post how good the stippling looks on this lock but Daryl beat me to the punch.  Really exquisite lock !!!

That is very nice! Wondering if you are going to gild the stippling?
