Don't mind all those nasty comments above - you did a right proper job of it, and can be proud of it when next you go hunting or to the range.

I'm working on a jaeger with parts/pieces from Ron Scott.  That dadgum English Wally-knot wood is sure tough!  Hope I can do half as good as you've done.  That rascal looks as though it will be a really good shooter.

Cheekpiece molding leading into the carving is a real standout.

That really stuck out for me too, Rich.

Beautiful rifle.  Clean and crisp execution.  At 61 caliber, maybe you could back up Muskrat Mike on his giant hog hunt.

Guys I am really humbled by all the kind words.
Jim Filipski, I agree with you completely. The great thing about German guns is the variety of expression.
I am more drawn to the simpler jaegers. Wolfe's book has been a wonderful source of inspiration. My favorite rifle is #44. It is at once simple and elegant.
My mind is traveling in that direction.
Again, thanks for the compliments.

Just saw this today.  Don’t know a lot about Jaegers, but I know enough to really like this one!

Very nice,

Greetings,  I also like building Jaegers.  Your over all dimensioning is really good.  I am very impressed with your forged buttplate, that's not easy.  Nice work.  Hank
