Two horns- not a style I normally make
« on: April 14, 2022, 10:24:56 PM »
Two horns I’ve had in the works for a while and finished this past weekend. I normally do banded horns. The top horn does have a strap retention band, walnut and box plug and a walnut stopper. Second horn has a walnut plug, dyed with black paint over a green milk paint. Two forged staples for the straps. Walnut stopper. Both horns were turned on a lathe to shape the tips. Bodies were scraped with knife blade/furniture scraper. Dyed yellow base and finished with brown leather dye. Wood pegs used to attach the plugs.
