Saarn made potsdam marking question

Hopefully the pics will show up

Have a 1831 percussion converted Potsdam musket. Also have the book The Potsdam Musket by Carl Kruger.  I've searched the interweb and it is not mentioned in the book but my musket has no unit markings on the butt plate.   I doubt I will ever find where this thing has been so I am looking for thoughts and even speculation.

My thinking is since it apparently was never delivered to a military unit it possibly was sent straight to storage during the American Civil War.  Then bought surplus afterwards.  Story I got and the condition in which I got it does give credit is that this was a barn find and been there for decades. It was coated in petrified dust, dirt and what I believe to be critter poo.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  Again hopefully the pics show.
