Another after a couple of horns on pages 52 and 53 of Dr. Jay Hopkins' book, "Bone tipped & Banded Horns Vol II". Not a copy but more in the style of.
It is about 13 1/2" around the outside curve and 11 tip-to-tip. The Butt is Walnut held in by the same 4 wooden pegs that hold the base band in place. The tip is a two piece antler pinned together with 3 pegs and to the horn with 3 more. The 3 bands were heated and pressed on then secured with 3 Iron pins each. It was scraped, colored with dye and Brown shoe polish.

Man that's a good one Tim! I love the way the antiquing got down in the lines and make them popped. Great color too. That one will sell fast.
