A new rifle requires a new bag
Tacitus:
I recently assembled a Kibler SMR and decided it needed a bag more in line aesthetically with the rifle than the previous bags I had made, and so I made this bag to service my SMR. Cowhide body, elk hide binding, goat hide exterior flap hinge mated to a deer skin interior flap hinge, canvas liner, and hand forged buckle and deer antler toggle. Hand sew with waxed linen thread. Oiled, dyed and waxed and given a worn, used appearance. The small patched is a happy accident. I unhappily noticed during assembly a dime sized spot of thin leather that would likely tear at some future date and so I made a preemptive repair. After completing the bag I decided instead that I liked the patch, gives the bag a bit more character.
TN Longhunter:
That will pair well with your SMR. Now add a Southern Banded Horn and you will be set to go. Good looking bag.
Ken G:
Nicely done. I like the patch!
