And Another N. C. Style Horn
« on: June 01, 2022, 06:05:31 PM »
Another after the horns on pages 62-63 of Dr. Hopkins' book, "Bone Tipped & Banded Horns Pt II"
It is a little smaller at 10" around the outside curve and 8 1/2 tip-to-tip. The butt is Maple and is about 2" wide. It is held in by 8 wooden pegs. The tip is one piece of antler held to the horn by 3 pegs. Color is a mix of old dyes followed by Brown shoe polish.

That’s pretty- the color is striking and very warm. Really nice.
