Are Bipods allowed for bench shoots
Bob McBride:
Nein. No Unertls either. Crossed sticks and iron. That would be like putting a dot sight on a Match Lock or giving George Washington a pager.

Thanks Stoner Creek. I don't mean to be a bother with all my questions. I wish I knew someone at the NMLRA to consult with, but I don't, and what with it being a 20 hour drive from my place to Friendship making it to a shoot is quite a long haul.

It’s no bother at all, that’s just the local curmudgeons being wholesome and excessively welcoming. Especially ol Stoner. He’d give you the shirt off his back so long as you don’t try to put a Harris ultralight tactical bipod on your flinter…

Bob it is great for you to chime in on this one. You have expressed my thoughts precisely, without all of the expletives.

Some people might call it " in the spirit of the match ". Trying to keep things less techno so to speak. ;)
Robin Henderson:
If I'm not mistaken, they do have matches for those modern contraptions posing as real muzzleloaders and shooting pointy projectiles wrapped in plastic with copious amounts of fake black powder for their energy source....shot prone and at longer range. Seems like I noticed bipods as I wandered by headed to the chunk range.
