My kind of gun! English stuff makes American long rifles look a bit crude, which I also like!
Mine too and I did make some fancy Stanton style caplocks thanks to the generosity of Lynton McKenzie.
Also the Twiggs with an upgraded mechanism.The Brits had sophisticated shops and no end of fine tools
which was not the case in American shops for a very long time. and the skill shown in this fine gun is just
one more to admire.Utility combined with need was the American way.There are no Hawken rifles with a
high grade lock and no need for them was seen in our shops then or now.
