Had a chance to use this on my Jaeger today that is finished except for some carving. In addition to the two pins the rifle has a nose cap that is held in place by a screw into the barrel and a sling swivel that has to be taken off in order to remove the barrel for cleaning so the process is a bit tedious.I remembered I got one of Dave's thingys and used it for the first time today and got to clean the rifle with the barrel in place.Ask me how much I like it? My face hurts from smiling so much. Dennis

Keeps the water from running in under the wood.
