Dave Crisalli "magnetic / tube / water pumping thingy"
« on: June 23, 2022, 07:00:19 AM »
Had a chance to use this on my Jaeger today that is finished except for some carving. In addition to the two pins the rifle has a nose cap that is held in place by a screw into the barrel and a sling swivel that has to be taken off in order to remove the barrel for cleaning so the process is a bit tedious.

I remembered I got one of Dave's thingys and used it for the first time today and got to clean the rifle with the barrel in place.

Ask me how much I like it? My face hurts from smiling so much. :) :) :) :)

Glad you like it. Taylor and I are of the opinion that the only way to get the barrel CLEAN, is to flush it with water. In and out, in and out.

Can ya put the rifle in a cradle upside down like this & don't take the barrel off ?

I have cleaned mine like that for years. Keeps the water from running in under the wood.

I agree whole heartedly with all the above. I use mine on all my guns since I got it a couple of years ago. ;D

If I take a barrel out, it is for a Serious issue. I don't like taking them out. Every time ya do you
take a chance of screwing up a pin hole or something.

Dave Crisalli makes some really nice items.  His work is always Top Notch.  ;)

I made one of these as per Dave's parts list and instructions a couple of years back.  I cradle the gun like Keith does in his photos, added a couple of nylon buckle straps to hold the gun firmly in place, flush away.  Works like a charm.

The best cleaning solution I have ever worked with.  Bought two of them at the Dixons Faire and have never looked back.

Yep. Really works well. I to would rather not take the barrel out of the stock Unless I have to. I was using a magnet on the touch hole BUT I wasn’t able to flush it like with the tube attachment

Yes I still have it. All I need is a gun to use it on.
