Places to see Historic Arms in Charleston?
« on: July 09, 2022, 06:29:14 AM »
Hello All,

Figured this is the best place to ask this, but if I need to have the post moved please let me know. I'll be going to Charleston for some vacation in a couple weeks and wanted to know if there are any other good museums I might see some historical guns outside of the Charleston Museum. If not, are there any particularly interesting guns I should look for at the Charleston museum armory exhibit? Always great to see historical pieces.

Thanks,
Duck

I don't know of anywhere to go in Charleston to see collections of long rifles, muskets, etc. but I would not pass up a visit to the Confederate Museum.  It's a real gem and full of stuff that'll knock yer' socks off.

Be sure and call to see when its open before you go,  I spent a week there and could not find it open. Shortage of help.
