For what it is worth there is a "Mark Baker" who is a writer in Cowboy, Cowboy action and Rodeo magazines who is not our Mark Baker.

I believe Mark Baker retains the rights, I may be wrong. I had a copy a while back, definitely a book I’d like to re-add to my library but at the going rate of $400+, it is indeed difficult to justify.

I worked at a dealership for English cars in the 1950's and the MGTC and TD were part of the mix along with Morris Minor,Riley and Jaguar and whatever else Max Hoffman dragged in from Europe.We also serviced Auburn-Cord- Duesenberg and Pierce Arrow cars.The TD sold new for $2165 or a dollar per pound.NONE of the MG's we sold lasted for 10,000 miles without a major rebuild.They should not be driven at interstate highway speeds today.One self styled engineer,against better advice put a S.C.O.T supercharger in his NEW TD and it was hauled in the next day with a broken crankshaft . He was "vexed" with us because the warranty on the car was voided with the addition of the supercharger and I remember removing it and installing a new cranlkshaft.
Good luck with this little gem and I hope "scraps and bits" are available for any restoration.Lucas electricals ,Lord Lucas,the father of darkness and I am a veteran of over 1000 blown fuses.Another thing is that the wiring in English cars carried only smoke and when the smoke escapes,the car stops running.

I talked to Mark last year as the diverbaugh he wrote about is an ancestor of mine and Mark is still somewhat active and retired from teaching.

I came across Mark's book available online.
Because it was his master's thesis, it is available as an academic paper through university libraries.
