I plan to, in another thread. The last application of browning went on the barrel a few hours ago. I’ll be taking pictures of the completed rifle soon.

No mechanical buffer used. All by hand and finished off with a Brasso polishing.

Very nicely done.  It will age very well, starting with that high polish shows pride in your work.

I’m certain I could, but being the first muzzleloader I’ve ever built, I haven’t actually tried it yet.

Interesting how the side plates are attached to the hinge. i will have to pay more attention to patchboxes; I don't recall seeing many constructed this way. I saw that you only had one screw on each sideplate and looked closer and saw the top was attached to the hinge. Very nice!

I don't  know how these sideplatees are attached, but the original sideplates have a hook on the front end that goes under the hinge knuckle.
