Mountain State's Extra Fine Priming Powder
(1/1)
Kevin:
Here's a blast from the past:
I'm still working on using up some shooting supplies from circa 1980. Today at the range I refilled my priming horn and the bottle is almost empty.
Anybody have any idea if this is comparable to Swiss Null B?

Darkhorse:
I prime with 4fg rain or shine all the time. I have learned how to use it in different weather conditions after a couple of decades. But I wouldn't use that stuff or anything finer, it will soak up moisture like a sponge and a flintlock that don't fire is worthless.

That may be the reason so many once fine flintlock rifles have a drum and nipple and a butchered lock >:(.
