Knife maker identification

Does anyone know who the maker of this beautiful knife is? It has what looks to be a fancy P stamped on the blade. Any help would be appreciated.

A mark very similar to that was used by Hill Pierce, sometimes spelled Pearce, and I'm not sure which spelling is correct. This article
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/hill-pearce-collection-%C2%95-something-old-something-new.702678/
refers to an earlier mark that he used, so he apparently has used at least 2 versions which are apparently a cursive letter P.
His home is in Alabama, and there are a few pictures online of his work. I'm certainly no authority, but have admired his work for a while, so I hope I'm not sending you off in the wrong direction. He is well known for his work, and I think I read that he's built a few guns, but I've never seen one.

Try this link to one of his bowie knives, the mark looks very similar to your folder.
