A little horn work
« on: September 02, 2022, 05:12:46 PM »
Had a bit of fun scratching on a horn, don't do these all to often.  I like to put phrases in German on my scratched horns.  This phrase says "Early to bed, Early to rise". Think I'll do some more of this

Very nice. Like the idea of a rhyme and in German, too. Can you post a close up of the rhyme. please?

Also, do you use a "maker's mark" to identify your work? I ask as I have a collection of them and would appreciate you sharing yours if you would. I started collecting them years ago as I would see a marked horn, wondering who made it. I have several marks that I have seen with unidentified makers. Some day I hope to solve those mysteries.

Thanks Tim, ......John, I'll take some pics of the phrase. I have no maker's mark, never thought about it

Here are some pics of the phrases. The phrase goes like this: Fruh Zum Bette.... Fruh Stehen Auf

It is always fun and interesting to see what folks come up with to decorate their horns.  Nice one.
