Tacked Knife Sheath

Poor Bull:
I am excited about my recent success with using brass tacks.  I've ruined a lot of tacks and leather attempting to make a knife sheath.  The trick was to heat the point red hot with a propane torch while holding the head with pliers.  After cooling, the nail can be easily bent over and the point hammered back into the leather.

You might find it even easier using the original type all solid brass tacks.     They cost more, but are probably worth the extra, and are correct.

Brian Jordan:
That is a nice looking sheath, glad you got it figured out.
