The Southern Ohio Artisans Workshops (a.k.a. SOAW) hosted a Kibler Mountain Rifle Kit Building Class September 12-16, 2022 down at Canter's Cave 4-H Camp in Jackson, Ohio. We had students from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and two from "The Great State of Texas!" They were a great bunch and all went home with some mighty nice looking rifles. I thought I'd share some pictures of their results!

For anyone who might be interested, SOAW will be hosting another Kibler Kit Building Class in March, 2023 (dates to be determined). Information on the next class should be up on the SOAW website by November 1st. We will be building the Colonial Kit in our next class.

Nice looking SMRs. Looks like everyone must have ordered the extra fancy maple stocks, at least in the pictures, that is what I'm seeing. Very nice-looking curl!

Hi,
Very nice rifles!  Jim Kibler sure chose a really elegant rifle to inspire his kit design.  I have never seen a southern mountain rifle style that appeals more to me than his design.

Congratulations on a good job teaching! Those classes are a lot of work but very satisfying at the end.
