Awesome!  I got a deluxe schimmel a few years ago.... Looks like you got Allen's Super-Duper-DEE-LUXE Schimmel, Wayne!

Now that’s really nice. That rifle is begging to go hunting.

Schimmel.German for MOLDY.Best looking mold I ever saw,The shape of the "butt plate" is astounding at least to me.I was never a real builder IF THIS is a "barn gun"I hope it's in a modern barn with climate control.Another German word to end with.Hervorregend.

Thanks to each one who complimented my work .. its really humbling and a honor !!
Thanks to Wayne for letting me let my (hair-down) on this project and rifle that we now call Skrubby !!
One look at that wood and barrel , I felt a Jacob Dickert was in the mix ... So I went with from there ..

I wish I could keep most my guns I build but this one was really special !!
The rifle left here late last week and Wayne is now strutting about the streets of Paris and StonerCreek ... stopping traffic and causing all kinds of havoc !!
I expect to see a dead deer or 2 with this gun ...

Ciao .. Allen Martin

I love seeing well done rifles like this one...it starts the creative juices flowing!  A wonderfully hard piece of maple too, I'm seeing.

I made the journey down the dead end road to see it yesterday, it actually looks better in real life; pictures don’t do it justice. My hats off to Allen, its one thing to build a nice rifle …..but to make it look like that???  Hes got a super creative side!!

….although Big Wayne speculated that some of the wear marks may have occurred riding around in the UPS truck for 4 days while the driver was searching for his house (only 3 houses on his road), go figure! 😂😂

I really like the architecture and the no nonsense carving.  That's a great looking rifle.
