Here I have a nice pistol who needs some reapere. Start clean up the hammer and with the missing topjaw!

Because it's probably not original to the lock.

Ok, I dont bodder wayting a year for cast parts from engeland so I made a new mainspring so was missing.

I have an original Tower pistol that is identical with the exception of the military style ramrod setup on the pistol shown. Mine has a traditional thimble held in the stock by a pin and a wooden ramrod. The cock is identical in shape to the one shown and differs only in that mine has no double line engraved around the body of the cock. The top jaw that you created is very similar to the one on my pistol. Fun to see the restoration process and result.

Yes, I do use that epoxy, but seldom in gun work. I mix it with Transtint stain and sometimes with very fine sawdust to fill in cracks in knots.
Their 5 minute epoxy is also very good and adequate for non-structural repairs.
