Leftover horn tip ideas.

In the process of making my own powder horn. Looking for ideas of what to do with the cut off tip.

 Kind of depends on how big they are, you could use them to make Picks, brushes, powder measures, buttons, handles for starters. If big enough they could be turned for screw or applied tips. A couple of longer ones would make ink pens if you buy the workings. I'm sure there are more.

I've been using them to make a fiddle key stopper for the horn it came from. Drill it for a dowel, glue it in and start shaping.

They also make good patch material if you screw up and drill through the outside curve of a horn.

I've made a number of items from cow horn tips, ie:  ramrod tips, powder measures, nocks for English lowbow tips, handles for vent picks, etc.
