New Horn & Bag for my Trade Gun
« on: November 05, 2022, 09:00:16 PM »
Here is what I have for my new Clay Smith red painted Carolina trade gun:

The horn was made by Tim Crosby and the strap is faux wampum which I found on Etsy. I think it makes a great combo. The bag is a Lemuel Lyman belt style that I got off of here a while back, I don’t remember the maker but it’s got a divider and nice leather closure button.

The bag is currently stocked with ball, tow, flints, a turnscrew, vent pick, rag, and worm. I’m going to hang a properly sized charger from the horn once I find the appropriate load for my gun. I wanted to keep this outfit pretty simple and wanted to utilize a correct 18th C. pouch and a plain, large horn common to that era as well.

Take care,

Dillon
