Kibler Woodsrunner arrived.
« on: November 13, 2022, 02:11:41 AM »
I got my Kibler Woodsrunner kit today. It will take a while to do the finishes, but if I wanted to I bet I could assemble it and shoot it in one day. As can be seen, almost everything is already fitted!

Sounds great bnewberry. As I posted on the Muzzleloader forum, have been waiting for the first one to post they received their Woodsrunner. Do you have any idea where you were number wise in ordering. Just curious. As I also posted on the MZ forum, hope those who receive early don't have a contest to see who can post a finished rifle first. Regrets usually follow things done in haste.  :) Do look forward though to seeing finished rifles and shooting reports.

Mine arrived yesterday, two days ahead of the posted delivery date. I am more than impressed with the "kit" as well as the service from Kibler.

How about a pic John? Do you have a # on the barrel?
Thanks

Well so much for nightmares with kit building... Jim gets the reward for removing the blue cloud swearing when doing kits....  LOL

So, the first 25 kits I assembled to make sure everything is just right.  This took me a few days or so.  In the future they won't be quite as far along, but will still be very straight forward.

I honestly didn't have to remove any wood (zero) in assembling these 25.

Think of the difference between our SMR and Colonial kits compared to others on the market...  The Woodsrunner is probably this much easier than our other kits.

Pair this with a very historically correct, yet beautiful design and I think we have a winner.

I'm working on carving a couple right now that will be a part of a Netflix show.  Should be fun.

Thanks for the pre-shipping assembly! As soon as I saw this one announced I thought it looked like the kind of rifle I would want, and it is! I am looking forward to more inspiration on the carving.

What’s the best way to find out where one is on the shipping list with out bothering the good people at Kibler if there’s actually a way. I’d just as soon not bother Ms Lori

So is the buttplate already installed and the trigger and triggerguard as well in the package, is this as it came?

Mountainman, this is how it came. Jim Kibler mentioned that he fit the first 25 of these kits together before shipping to ensure quality control. I think that means that subsequent kits will mot be assembled like this. The good news is that his new CNC means that the kit fits together, more easily than his prior kits, which already were probably the easiest to assemble 8n the industry.

Hi,
I detect a lot of happy people.    I think Jim may have replaced Santa Claus.  Good luck to all of you and enjoy your Woodsrunners.

I received my 54 cal today. This is my third Kibler kit. The wood in these kits simply blows away Pedersoli and the new Beretta 28 gauge shotgun I just bought. The lock is fast and awesome. If you buy one of these kits, you will be very satisfied with the product and all the support behind it. This is an outstanding company to work with and they really know what that are doing. I have taken over 30 squirrels with my 36 cal southern rifles since November of last year and still counting. These barrels are accurate as heck.

I am loving my Woodsrunner. The lock is fast and reliable, people know about how well thought out Kibler’s kits are… I feel like less seem to appreciate how good the locks are. I like the round face lock so well I got an extra to go on an upcoming build.

I have this....I dunno....a feeling....that mine is coming up in the cue.   Not that I NEED it right now, with a .45 Lancaster build in progress...but I wanna see what all the excitement is about!

It will be my second kit and the Colonial was simply outstanding.  How Jim does it is pure sorcery of some kind.  The guy and his crew really have this thing figured out.
