A good week!!

Alabama's BP season started Monday.  We get 5days prior to the regular gun season. 
    So, I started out Monday to get me a deer.  I'm sitting in my ground blind and out comes a tender looking doe.  Not her day.  My Ed Wenger .60cal. put her down in her tracks.  Weather and a doctor appt. took a couple of days.  Then I got skunked one day.  Finally on Friday a spike walked out and my Mike Brooks Oerter .54cal.rifle got it.  This one needed tracking.  By the time I found it and got it drug out, it was too dark to get a picture.  So, I took one today and you'll have to imagine a spike laying  under the rifle.  ;)

No surprise that both rifles are beautiful.  What a satisfying way to harvest food for the winter.
