I’ll bet you could get that CNC machine to do that!!
Hi Jim,Thank you!! Seeing that work made my day.dave
Ok, what tools would I need to try this ? I really want mine carved, nothing fancy, just something like those pictures and I guess you are not doing that for people Jim, so I have to learn on my own how to do this. I am a sawdust maker for the last 40 years, but never ever tried carving. I would like to learn but if I mess up the stock, I will really be upset and not sure the wife would let me buy a second one My woodsrunner won't be here for a few months, but I never did fully finish the Mountain rifle, I assembled it and went shooting (quite a few times) and never took it back apart to actually finish it, guess I could try that one, after trying on some chunks of maple I have in the shop. So what tools do you recommend ?
Jim, Would you please share a photo of the under side of the lock molding. Thanks, Fred
Very nice to see your clean carving style again Jim. I really like your choice for the tang carving for the Woodsrunner profile. An improvement on the original and in my mind a good element for a VA gun.
Hey there. I'd been doing some carving on one of our "Woodsrunner" kits recently and thought it might give some ideas to others. It's pretty simple, but adds a lot to the overall appeal of the rifle. Any questions, let me know.
