Really fine work, but more than that is the concept behind the series.
It reminds me of the single event that makes me wish I was young again. My daughters took a combined history and literature course in high school which blended the usual dates/events/people of history with the literature of the era. Brilliant! I really wish such a class had been available in my day, much less to adults today. Combining history and literature helped it all make more sense, brought the past more to life than anything I've ever encountered.
That's what your series does. The gear by itself or the history by itself are pale, compared to the combination. Hats off!
If you immortalize that set in a book, I'll be first in line to buy it!
