My Modest Collection
« on: January 14, 2023, 07:19:33 PM »
Thought I would share these images of my modest collection. One of them I dont even have rifle to go with. They represent work from Davey Davis, Eric Ewing, Bruce Horn, Scott and Cathy Sibley

Cory:
My wife says I ain't quite "Rainman" but my makeup requires I have a complete bag, horn and accoutrements setup for each caliber I have. As I gain in calibers I get another bag and horn. Obsessive, probably but when I go shoot the only thing I need is the gun of choice and grab the correct bag. Of course they hang on a wall in order from smallest caliber to largest. The only one that is different is I have two .54 caliber bags (1 for my .54 caliber rifle & 1 for my .54 caliber smoothbore) as they use different size balls. Each also has a custom made priming horn, short starter and patch knife.
Picture #1. is of the set.
picture #2 is for my .32 caliber Mathew Gillespie bag by Curt Lyles or Cory Joe Stewart (I just can't remember which) horn by Scott Morrison
picture #3 is for my .36 caliber Soddy-Daisy with bag by Charlie Brown and horn by Tim Crosby
picture #4 is for my Jim Kibler built .40 caliber SMR. Bag is by Charlie Brown and horn by Scott Morrison
picture #5 is for my .54 caliber rifle. Horn is by Tim Crosby and bag is by Charlie Brown
picture #6 is for my .54 caliber smoothbore. Horn is by myself (and it shows), bag is by Charlie Brown.

Tim #3 is counting the group picture as #1 so it's the second single bag/horn picture. I had you make the strap and include it also. So 2 of the five are yours (if my old memory is correct). Not shown are the 2 priming horns that are yours two snuff boxes I use (one for smoothbore wads). I love your work and appreciate your help in acquiring them.
But let's not get off track. This post is about Cory's wonderful collection that anyone would love to have.

Muskrat Mike the top picture with the five bags, the first one from the left is mine, and the first single picture is mine or the same bag just to clear things up not that it matters or anything. All nice looking bags too by the way I'd be proud to carry any one of them. I think that might be a groundhog pouch  that I made maybe 10 years ago or moreCurt

Curt you are correct. After awhile the memory gets a little foggy. It is made of groundhog and never ceases to get comments from people who see it. I am proud to own and carry it.
