Hand Held Howitzer

Guys,

I had a short piece of heavy bronze round stock lying about, 6-3/4 inches long.  What to do with it?  A research book on Weapons of the American Revolution showed a British blunderbus pistol with such a short barrel, so here is my newly made hand held howitzer.  With 6 #4 buckshot over 65 grains of powder, it can be a spiritual experience.  You have to yell "YAHOO" as loudly as possible after each shot.  Caliber 0.62 with the bore flared at the muzzle of 0.74.

Nice Pistol, but still in a "Girly Man" caliber.
Real hand held howitzers start at a minimum of 12 gauge.
Just ask Daryl.

While I wouldn't call .62 a girly-man calibre (my .54 bucks just like my 4" M29)
I tend to think of hand-Howitzers as being of much larger bore & carrying a ball of
close to or over 500gr.
It's quite a piece, just the same, and a charge of 65gr. 3F would likely make it bark.
My .54 uses 55gr. 3F.
