You are made of good stuff if you are shooting in that kind of weather! Beautiful picture with that golden light in the background. Rich, here's what I see left to right: 9, 0, head 0, body 10, and a 9 = 28. That head shot was so close but it really looks like more than half ball is clear of the 8 ring. It sounded like you were going out again so here's luck to you.

Day after a storm. Cold, bright sun, and very little wind. Finally !!
I had time for one target before house hold duties required my attention.
.54 cal flintlock rifle, Colerain C weight 42 in barrel, 80 gr FFg, .535 cast ball, .018
linen patching, bear oil lube

25 yards, standing, rifle braced in the crook of a solid tree, with my toque as a rest

Bob, that's some good shooting! Scoring left to right: 9, 9, Head 9, Body 10, 9 = 46. That second bull was a squeaker! As of right now, you have the lead! I think that Marc just breathed a sigh of relief!

Here's my first ever entry. Shot today with my recently finished Kibler SMR .40. Shot with sights shooting about 3"s high just compensated best I could. After I shot this I was able to file and have it much closer now, but ran out of daylight, may try a second target tomorrow if it isn't to ugly out! I call it a 32??

I agree and for a new rifle and compensating for the sights, that's very good. I scored it as follows left to right: 8, 8, head 0, body 8, and 8 = 32. My thanks for taking the picture close enough to allow a significant enlargement. Squeakers such as your shot at the crow's body are hard under the best of circumstances. Also, thanks for using a good backer as the bullet holes are punched cleanly with good definition! Thanks!

Justin I agree and, if the weather had been better for so many folks, it would have been even, better I think. Apparently, the crow target had some appeal. Funny thing was that I went back and forth between the crow at 25, yards any position and the target below at 50 yards, any position for the March target.

Bob, with a score of 46, you are the winner of the March postal crow shoot. We had 11 shooters this month and I want to thank all you that participated. I sure hope that everybody had fun. Several of you shot under what I would call rough conditions and several more let me know they wanted to join the festivities but the weather intervened.

Bob, it's your call for the April postal!

Thank you to all who participated . The fact that the numbers were up was great to see, and really helped with my determination to get this target shot despite the nasty conditions that March presented to so many of us.
I was lucky. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while !

I shot my Crow yesterday afternoon. Seated on a Buffalo Robe in the snow, over cross sticks. Was called for dinner before I had a chance to upload my picture.

Thank you for the compliment. No that's a tear from the 58 caliber hole, I couldn't see the bullseyes so I added orange Target pasters to one Target and stapled it on top of a second target as Dan suggested. I reused the top paste or Target twice, and this caused some oddly shaped holes I guess.
I was going to call it a nine but when I set it on top of an unfired Target it's a 10.. so I didn't feel guilty scoring it as such. But I'm not the "Judge" so I yield the point if judged that way.
