The stock was stained with AF with an over coat of Birchwood Casey's Rusty Walnut stain. The finish is a mixture of boiled Linseed oil and Amber Colored Shellac applied very thinly and hand rubbed to a high sheen then lightly rubbed back with 0000 steel wool, then waxed with Johnson's paste wax. The barrel and lock were browned, the trigger, trigger plate and all of the screws were fire blued.
Again I can't say enough about what a great product Jim Kibler has produced here, Skip had never built any kind of rifle or was a wood worker. In 3.5 days we had this rifle assembled, finished and shot which is pretty amazing. Thanks Jim
