Redding's Auction Gettysburg, PA

At the same auction that sold the original Cooley and Hauck rifles, three contemporary long rifles were also sold.  A Keith Casteel rifle brought $8,800; a Robert Ditchburn rifle brought $7,200 and a Larry Gardner rifle brought $19,000.

The bids on those rifles blew through my high bids so fast that it looked like I didn't bid.
I let the Emig rifle go.  I don't buy unsigned rifles.  Plus I can buy a Yorktown kit for almost the same money.

The T. McCann swivel breech went for $2150.

The B. Hauck long rifle from York County went for $17,100 and the David Cooley long rifle from Adams County went for $18,800.
