Seems like there may have been something similar in the Dresslar book..not sure if that is the pic/horn you are talking about. I may have to dig later when I get a chance.

This was the horn.
I am glad you like it, not done yet.
RVAH-7 the boards you see is my dining room table that dates from late 19th century, the nails holding the board down are bamboo pegs. My grandfather used to slaugter and scald/scrape pigs on it, the wood is Widdringtonia Wallichii.

That is a beautiful design and outstanding workmanship. F&I Period engraving would "knock it out of the park". Can't wait to see it engraved.

Thank you John, the plan is to engrave it. I have been looking at pictures of horns of that period and it looks like the lines have been cut with a blade rather than a sharp pointy tool. Some horns its clear that a burin or graver has been used or at least used to give lines a bit of thickness/volume. I think a coat of arms will go on there and I have to come up with some more.

Keith, not yet, I started engraving but stopped to move house. Now that has turned into a renovation project with the new house and after that set up a new workshop etc etc. Excuses excuses...
