Lollipop tang install

I've been asked to build a rifle and the customer wants a lollipop tang installed. Any advice about the procedure. Flared tangs, tangs with thumbnails and tapered tangs I can easily do, but I've never done one of these.

Lots of draft on the upper side of the lollipop.
Start the inlet at the top and walk it down the wrist, bending it into place as you go.

Just finished one of the abominations a couple weeks ago. LOTS of draft on the lollipop part. And it will be awhile before I do another. Can’t imagine doing one with an over the comb tang, you’d have to be a real masochist. Although I’m sure there’s some on here who can do it in under an hour with only one hand. 😁

Maybe a Kibler southern mountain rifle? Just a thought, but maybe your customer is not price sensitive and won't mind paying for the extra hours involved

These things are much easier to inlet than what you might think. With your obvious knowledge and understanding of gun making this will ultimately be a fun job to do.
Trust me! I’ve been there. You will be surprised how quickly it goes. Let er rip!
