Corey Joe, you have GOT to clean those windows!

Fantastic work on that firearm, enjoyed the pics. And yes, I am still using that little priming horn, and still have the broken heart.

I always like seeing the in progress pictures, it is very informative to see how other builders approach doing the same jobs. I noticed you used a saw to cut the lower cheek rest profile. I have always used a chisel for this work. Mark Silver used a small plane to cut away the excess wood below the cheek rest. Many different ways to do the same job and they all work. I love it. Thanks for sharing and the rifle is shaping up nicely.

I am afraid to clean the windows. This is a house built in 1943 and the panes are all loose. LOL.

Mark Silver's DVD is an inspiration for sure. I tried that and could not really get it to work. Mainly because of my lack of experience with that particular kind of plane.

Got it about 80 percent done. Some cleanup and tweaking. Also I tried to clean my windows and they do not look that much different.

It is pretty simple. One day when I have my own shop I plan a little bit different set up. Let me know if you need better pictures of it.

I have not been able to get to my shop for nearly a month. Finally back today. Not sure when I will get back. I have not carved in a while and it really shows.

Looking very good. Your carving is coming along well. We all get out of practice when we have not done something in a while but a little practice and you find you slip right back in the saddle! Keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Finally in the homestretch. This is one of two projects I wanted to complete this summer and I have not even gotten this one done. This summer just seemed to spin out of control.
