May Rifle Building Class
« on: May 11, 2023, 05:03:39 PM »
Good morning everyone. Let me introduce Steve Christopher. Steve started this project a couple of years ago in one of my classes and was able to return this year to finish this project. Steve is going to give this rifle to his son who served in the Army, thus the inscription on the side plate. Help me congratulate Steve on a job well done. The engraving was done by me but Steve did all of the rest of the work. Since we finished this project early this week, Steve also brought a Kibler Colonial to work on. I will give you some progress pictures on that project before he leaves tomorrow.

This is awesome! Great way to commemorate his service and to strengthen the bond between father and son. Look forward to seeing his Kibler Colonial here as well.

Congratulations Steve and Jim on such a fine and honorable job on this long rifle. It is really special that the two of you put your individual talents together to make a longrifle for such a special presentation to a hero of our Great Country. Well done!

Great work on an very fine rifle. Jim, your class was one of the most rewarding weeks I ever spent. I thought I'd be back for another one by now but work has overrun my life in the past few years. I'll need to figure something out and get back up there.

Nope. Still working on it gradually. I have a sickness, I also have two other old cars I'm working on and got my eyes on another. I can't seem to pass one up.
